Preparations for the establishment of the Vietnam Golf Tourism Association are being finalized and the selection of personnel is ready for the congress this year. This will be the 6th specialized branch under the Vietnam Tourism Association.
Vietnam is an emerging destination for golf tourism with many international standard golf courses
Vietnam hosted World Golf Awards to present “Asia’s Best Golf Destination” for the second consecutive year. In 2018, Vietnam had a world famous golfer as Tourism Ambassador – Greg Norman for the first time.
Currently, the country has more than 30 regional and international standard golf courses and 60 golf courses under construction from now to 2020, as approved by the Government leader.
Earlier, other specialized branches established are Travel, Hotel, Training, Tourist Guide and Chef Associations. Of these, the Tourist Guide Association was formed in October 2017, attracting the participation of 293 members.
Speaking in a recent meeting to realize tourism tasks for northern localities in 2019, Mr. Vu The Binh, Deputy Head of the Vietnam Tourism Association, said the organization is ranking chefs and continues ranking tourist guides in Ho Chi Minh city, Da Nang, Can Tho and Thanh Hoa./.
