Expressing his impression on Hanoi socio-economic development achievements over the past years, Swedish Ambassador to Vietnam Pereric Hogberg stressed that Hanoi is always an important part in the Vietnam – Sweden bilateral relationship.

He made the statement while being received by Nguyen Duc Chung, Party Central Committee member and Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee, on June 26th as he said farewell at the end of his working term in Vietnam.
During the reception, he said he was pleased to realize that in his working term, the two sides have gained important cooperative results. Many large Swedish groups, including Electrolux, IKEA and Volvo, have come to invest in Vietnam.
“Hanoi also plays a special role in developing tourism, with some 50,000 Swedish tourists visiting Vietnam each year,” he said.
Appreciating Ambassador Pereric Hogberg’s contributions to promoting the Vietnam – Sweden relationship in general and between Hanoi and Stockholm, and many other Swedish cities, Mr. Chung expressed his thanks to the Swedish Ambassador for introducing experienced experts to Hanoi in different areas, especially in the building of a smart city.
He added that he hoped the ambassador will continue to contribute to the two countries’ relationship.
On this occasion, Mr. Chung invited Ambassador Pereric Hogberg and his wife to attend the Formula One Race, which is expected to be held in April 2020 in Hanoi./.
