Strengthening tourism promotion during F1 Vietnam Grand Prix 2020

On the occasion of the Formula 1 Vietnam Grand Prix 2020 taking place in Hanoi from April 3rd to 5th, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism have organized to introduce the event at international tourism fairs and Vietnamese tourism promotion programs abroad.

The VNAT has worked with Vietnam Grand Prix Co., Ltd., the unit organizing the F1 race in Vietnam, to coordinate the media activities and Vietnamese tourism promotion at the race.
The content of the cooperation includes: building a chain of entertainment activities, products and services before, during and after the event; promoting F1 racing at destinations; and promoting Vietnam's tourism image at the race.
In addition, the VNAT has also worked with localities and businesses to form products, services for sightseeing, tourism, entertainment in Hanoi and other localities to serve visitors who come to Vietnam to see F1 race.
According to the Hanoi Tourism Department, in the plan to cooperate with CNN International TV channel to promote Hanoi in the period of 2019-2024, CNN will make a movie "The first place to start" to promote the F1 race as well as tourism images of Hanoi. It is expected that after completion, the movie will be broadcast on CNN in the first quarter of 2020.
Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism Tran Duc Hai said that the department has requested accommodation establishments in the locality to have various forms to promote the F1 racing, such as printing logos, flags and maps to lead to race track, poster to advertise the event placed in reception area or hotel lobby./.
