HCM city is Top destination for New Year celebration
This year, tourists tend to search for more diverse destinations than in 2019. The Top 10 destinations to welcome the New Year 2021 include Ho Chi Minh City, Da Lat, Hanoi, Phu Quoc, Vung Tau, Da Nang, Sa Pa, Nha Trang, Phan Thiet, and Quy Nhon.
Compared to the previous year, Vietnamese travelers are choosing areas with cool and pleasant climate like Da Lat, rising to 2nd place, and Sa Pa at 7th place.
In addition, travelers tend to choose luxury accommodation to enjoy New Year’s Eve. The number of 4-5-star hotel reservations increased by 13% compared to 2019. Hotels of 4-5 stars are becoming the top choice of Vietnamese travelers in particular and global tourists in general, except travelers from Taiwan (China), Thailand and the US.
