Quang Binh promotes tourism on digital platforms to attract visitors

This is one the measures discussed at a conference held on December 29 in the central province of Quang Binh to recover tourism in 2021 as Vietnam has successfully controlled the COVID-19 pandemic.

Due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and floods, Quang Binh’s tourism saw decline in various fields. Tourists to Quang Binh only numbered 1.9 million in 2020, down 66.3% compared to the year’s plan and down 63% against last year. Total tourism turnover reached more than VND2.12 trillion.
The central province will promote communication about tourism activities on digital platforms, such as coordinating with Google to continue promoting on Google Art and Culture, carrying out digital marketing campaigns and implementing virtual reality photo sets and 360-degree photos for promotional activities.
Quang Binh will reduce entrance fees by 20%- 50% to all tourist attractions and routes in 2021, including “Conquering Son Doong - the largest cave in the world” tour.
Tourism businesses in the province will also put into operation new tourism products and will offer promotions and discounts from 10% to 30%, with commitment to ensuring safety for tourists and paying attention to prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic./.
