From November 17, the Da Nang International Airport welcomed the first international tourists group with 30 tourists from Incheon (the Republic of Korea). The group then went straight to Quang Nam to join a closed tour.
Currently, the Da Nang International Airport is still a common transit place for international travelers visiting both Quang Nam and Da Nang.

In the first phase from this November, the central travel hub is welcoming foreign visitors through package tours, charter flights, and international commercial flights to the designated areas and tourism service establishments in Phu Quoc city (Kien Giang province), Da Nang, and the provinces of Khanh Hoa, Quang Nam and Quang Ninh.
In the second phase from January 2022, the city will open to an expanded group of international tourists. They can also take part in tours of destinations in the five above mentioned localities. It will completely reopen to international tourists in the third phase.
According to the Da Nang Department of Tourism, travel companies submitted their plans, time and expected number of tourists in November and December. As planned, the city will welcome about 10,000 foreign tourists in the first phase.
The Department also prepares new products according to the criteria of "safe adaptation, flexibility, effective control of the COVID-19 epidemic", with the focus on developing high-quality marine and resort tourism products, entertainment, shopping, conferences, seminars (MICE), and inland waterway.
Besides, Da Nang will also work closely with the other 4 provinces and cities permitted to pilot welcoming international tourists: Quang Nam, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc (Kien Giang) and Quang Ninh to link tourism and enrich the tourist market between localities./.
