Accordingly, during Christmas and New Year 2022, Da Nang is expected to receive about 284 domestic flights from Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Lat, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Buon Me Thuot, Hai Phong, and Can Tho.
On January 1, 2022, about 27 flights to Da Nang will be operated by Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air and Bamboo Airways. In particular, the central city will coordinate with Vietnam Airlines to welcome about 150-180 tourists on the first flight on the occasion of the Lunar New Year.
The move is part of an array of activities to welcome visitors to Da Nang city in order to promote and attract tourists by air in 2022.
So far, about 300 accommodation establishments, more than 50 travel agencies and 9 out of 16 tourist attractions have reopened in the hub. Businesses have tried to overcome difficulties, return to serve visitors, and build many special incentive packages and promotions to attract tourists to Da Nang.
Specifically, Mikazuki 365 Water Park will offer a 30% discount on admission tickets from December 24 to March 31, 2022, and free services for Onsen bath, sauna and free entrance ticket to Ninja Kid's Park amusement park.
Discounts will also offered for staycation, buffet, and New Year's party packages at hotels such as: InterContinental Danang; Hyatt Regency; Pullman Resort Danang; Furama Resort Danang; and Vinpearl Condotel Riverfront Hotel.
In 2022, Da Nang aims to welcome 3.5 million visitors, a 2.7-fold increase against 2021, including 180,000 international visitors, a 1.8 fold increase, and 3.32 million domestic tourists, a 2.8 fold increase. Accommodation and travel revenue will reach 6.7 trillion VND, up 2.8 fold against 2021./.
