The Government Office has just sent a document to relevant ministries, departments and People’s Committees of provinces and cities about the subjects permitted in the pilot program.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ministry of Health, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Information and Communications, and the People’s Committees of Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Kien Giang, Khanh Hoa, Quang Nam, Quang Ninh and Binh Dinh, and relevant agencies are assigned to conduct the pilot plan.

According to the HCM City Department of Tourism, the city tourism industry has prepared resources, products, services and tour routes to be ready to welcome international tourists.

Specifically, from mid-November 2021, the City People’s Committee has sent an official letter to the Prime Minister for approval to apply for a pilot program to welcome international tourists using “vaccine passports” in line with the policy of the Government, while exploiting the peak season of international tourism.

In addition, welcoming international visitors with “vaccine passports” in the near future will contribute to economic recovery, because Ho Chi Minh City is a center of commerce, international trade and many business activities./.
