The department asked all tourist accommodation establishments to self-assess COVID-19 safety on the system of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

According to statistics of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, as of May 24, the city has 294 tourist service businesses registered and assessed for COVID-19 safety.

Aiming to proactively respond to the risk of the outbreak of COVID-19 and ensure more effectiveness in epidemic prevention and control, the department proposed that People’s Committees of localities continue to strengthen inspection and supervision; and promptly and strictly handle tourist accommodation establishments that do not comply with the epidemic prevention and control measures of competent agencies. Only tourist accommodation establishments ensuring COVID-19 safety are allowed to welcome and serve tourists.

In addition, localities need to guide and require accommodation facilities to fully make medical declarations by QR code (tokhaiyte.vn), declare stays for tourists in accordance with regulations, and declare inspection and supervision tables for 19 concentrated medical isolation facilities./.
