Quang Ninh kicks off cultural activities to stimulate tourism

The event is scheduled to be held on October 31 at Tuan Chau international tourism and entertainment complex (Ha Long City), promising to be the cultural event marking Quang Ninh's reopening following the COVID-19 epidemic being brought under control throughout the country.

The program is among activities to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Ha Long Bay being voted by New Open World Organization as one of the new 7 natural wonders of the world, and practically celebrating the 58th anniversary of the founding of Quang Ninh province (October 30, 1963).

The program is a practical activity to promote tourism in Ha Long and Quang Ninh in the “new normal” state, implementing a safe and flexible adaptation strategy and effectively controlling the COVID-19 epidemic.

Quang Ninh is expected to welcome about 1.5-2 million visitors in the fourth quarter of 2021 and plans to open its doors to tourists from November.

Previously, in 2011, Ha Long Bay surpassed more than 400 wonders from more than 200 countries and territories, making it to the list of 28 wonders to select 7 new natural wonders of the world.

On November 11, 2011, the New Open World Organization officially announced that Ha Long Bay was voted as one of the new 7 natural wonders of the world./.
