Saigontourist pioneers in building attractive product and service packages

The Saigontourist Group has held a conference to summarize activities in 2022 and directions and tasks in 2023.

In 2022, the group welcomed and served 1.12 million visitors, up 199% over the same period and up 13% compared to the plan, of which, staying guests reached 880,000 arrivals, up 163% over the same period and up 9% compared to the plan. Travelers reached 240,000 arrivals, up 500% over the same period and up 33% compared to the plan.

The average room occupancy of the direct business sector reached 44%. The group’s revenue totaled 12.2 trillion VND, up 104.8% over the same period and up 17.3% compared to the plan.

In general, the targets of customers, revenue, profit, and budget payment in 2022 all saw higher increases than the same period last year and compared with the plan.

In particular, the 2022 Saigontourist Cultural and Culinary Festival at Van Thanh Tourist Area was voted “Asia’s Best Culinary Festival 2022” by the World Culinary Awards.

The group also successfully organized the 19th Lunar New Year (Tet) Festival Program, Nguyen Hue Flower Street 2022; participated in more than 30 events to promote marketing and communication of Saigontourist brand at major tourism events in the country and abroad, and international events. 

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Duong Anh Duc suggested that Saigontourist Group should continue to focus on synchronously and flexibly deploying scenarios and solutions to recover the market in the future.

The Vice Chairman asked the group to continue to show its pioneering in investment and development of products and services, especially those that are considered strengths, such as: MICE tourism, waterway tourism, and other tourism types.

He requested Saigontourist to actively organize events, marketing and communication programs to restore domestic and international markets./.
