The northern mountainous province of Tuyen Quang has decided to invest 95 billion VND, including 90 billion VND from the central budget and 5 billion VND from the local budget, in implementing the project of preserving, renovating, restoring and promoting the value of the special national historical relic of Tan Trao.
The project, invested by the Tuyen Quang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, is to be realized in 2023-2025.
The project will build and embellish a number of items such as: display system of Tan Trao ATK Museum; embellishing the relic of Hang Bong shack (renovating the living and working shack of President Ho Chi Minh; expanding the road to the relic; building new toilets; embellishing the road to the shack; installing a fire prevention and fighting system and autoplay speaker); and embellishing Thia Cave relics; and embellishing the ATK-Kim Quan relic cluster’.
In addition, the province will focus on embellishing the Na Na relic cluster; restoring and embellishing Khau Lau-Vuc Ho relic area; embellishing the Minh Thanh relic site, and the overall technical infrastructure of the relic site.
The Tan Trao special national historical relic site is located in the ATK (safe zone) area in two districts of Son Duong and Yen Son. This was once an important strategic area, where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked with senior leaders and many central agencies during the pre-insurrection period and the period of the resistance war against the French colonialists.
In 2022, Tan Trao relic site welcomed more than 750,000 tourists, accounting for nearly one third of the total number of tourists to Tuyen Quang.
In the first two months of 2023, the site attracted 79,000 visitors, an increase of more than 30% over the same period last year.
In 2023, Tuyen Quang strives to attract more than 2.5 million visitors, earning a revenue of 3,000 billion VND./.
