Two passenger flights to Hanoi suspended

In a bid to prevent the COVID-19 epidemic, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has decided to suspend the operation of 2 passenger routes to/from Hanoi, and at the same time minimize the operation of the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City route.

Accordingly, from 0:00 on July 22, passenger flights between Hanoi and Can Tho/Phu Quoc (Kien Giang) were temporarily suspended.

At the same time, the route between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City only operated a maximum of 2 flights a day, instead of a maximum of 1,700 passengers a day divided among all airlines as before.

For flights for other purposes, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam will consider the decision on every case.

Meanwhile, cargo flights are carried out without restriction.

On July 21, Vietnam Airlines operated 3 chartered flights carrying 600 people from Ho Chi Minh city to their hometown of Da Nang. After landing, the Da Nang City People’s Committee will arrange for concentrated isolation of passangers at  hotels./.
