AAF presents bear statue to Quang Ninh province

From May to November, 2015, Quang Ninh province communicated, mobilized and persuaded bear owners to voluntarily transfer 33 bears in the province to the Vietnam Bear Rescue Center, in Tam Dao National Park, Vinh Phuc province.

With the positive results in the protection of bears, AAF presented the bear statue to the provincial People’s Committee to acknowledge the efforts of the province in bear rescue and elimination of bear captivity, contributing to the conservation of the animal.

After the reception, the provincial People Committee decided to display the statue at the Quang Ninh Museum so that local people and tourists can visit and learn to improve community responsibility in protecting bears in Vietnam./.
