The authorities of Quang Ninh province found and arrested a man illegally transporting nearly 2kg of drugs on March 1st.
The man is Nguyen Huu Viet, born in 1969, from Quang Trung ward, Uong Bi city, Quang Ninh province. He was arrested while transporting four nylon bags containing 1,400 tablets of ecstasy and crystal methamphetamine with a total weight of nearly 2kg on a Hyundai SantaFe car with registration plate 14N-4438, travelling from Mong Cai city toward Ha Long city.
Viet admitted that he bought the drugs, with a value of VND174 million, from a man in China and then brought them into Vietnam to sell for profit.
The case is under further investigation./.
