More than 30 individuals and representatives of travel companies from 5 countries and territories such as the Philippines, Taiwan (China), Myanmar, Malaysia and India, will join the trip.

On this occasion, Viking company will also arrange a Famtrip for over 20 travel businesses from Indonesia to survey the region.

In a talking with Saigon Times Online, Mr. Nguyen Son Thuy, Director of IUT, said that these are potential markets for Da Nang in particular and the central region in general. Specifically, Myanmar’s tour operators are very interested in destinations in the region.

He hoped the Famtrip would offer opportunities to open direct flights to the region while expecting development from Malaysian and Taiwanese (China) markets.

As planned, the delegation will visit outstanding destinations in the region including Hue, Da Nang, Ba Na Hills and Hoi An in four days.

Among over 11 million foreigners visiting Vietnam from the start of the year to August, Asian travelers accounted for 78.1% of the total number, a year-on-year rise of 9.9%./.
