Con Dao wins Lonely Planet renown as one of best spots in Asia

Con Dao Islands have been listed among of Lonely Planet’s Top 10 places to visit in Asia in 2016.

Being ranked at 4
th, Lonely Planet described the islands as “having moved from darkness into light: for decades the site of a brutal penal colony, this archipelago now ranks among Asia’s hottest emerging destinations.”A national park since 1984, their appeal encompasses coral gardens that offer Vietnam’s best diving, rewarding hikes in wildlife-rich tropical forests, and a coastline studded with gorgeous white-sand coves, it added.
With air connections from Ho Chi Minh city, Con Dao is a ideal place to enjoy fresh food and entertain yourself with perfect beaches. This archipelago now ranks among Asia’s hottest emerging destinations.
Other destinations on Lonely Planet’s list include Hokkaido (Japan) Shanghai (China) and Jeonju (Republic of Korea), Hong Kong (China) Ipoh (Malaysia), Pemuteran (Indonesia), Trang Islands (Thailand), Meghalaya (India) and Taitung (Taiwan-China)./.
