Vietnamese carrier Bamboo Airways has said it plans to operate 37-40 routes in 2019 and expand coverage on all routes throughout Vietnam.

In March 2019, the carrier will open an additional 6 flights from Ho Chi Minh city to Nha Trang, Da Nang, Phu Quoc and from Hanoi to Can Tho, Da Lat and Pleiku, in order to fulfill the plan of carrying 5 million passengers this year.
Earlier, Bamboo Airways added 4 more flight routes from Vinh, bringing the total underway routes to 14 with 36-40 flights a day at 15 airports nationwide, after five weeks of commercial operation.
In addition, it scheduled to provide air services to international market in the second quarter of 2019 with initial destinations being Thailand, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan (China) and Australia.
For the US, the airlines is surveying some destinations like Seattle, Los Angeles, and San Francisco to enable launching direct air routes to the market in the end of 2019 or the beginning of 2020, after the US Federal Aviation Administration has approved Category 1 rating to Vietnam./.
