Khanh Hoa greets nearly 3.4 million tourists

The central province of Khanh Hoa greeted nearly 3.4 million tourists in the first half of the year, a rise of more than 11% from the same period last year, according to the provincial Department of Tourism.

Of these, international tourist arrivals hit 1.7 million, an increase of nearly 24% year on year. Tourism turnover reached an estimated VND11 trillion, a 12% rise year on year.
Over the past six months, the Department of Tourism focused on promoting Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa tourism with various activities such as coordinating with Ninh Thuan to receive a Road Show from China; associating with the provincial Tourism Association to welcome a Famtrip delegation from Thailand and organizing fact-finding tours to the Mekong River Delta.
Being the host of National Tourism Year 2019, the Department of Tourism coordinated with Departments of Culture-Sports of related branches to organize many activities, especially the Sea Festival 2019.
In the near future, the Department of Tourism will associate with travel businesses to promote tourism in Thailand and Laos to diversify source of international visitors to the central province and increase management of business activities of domestic travel companies./.
