According to the organizers, together with 260 foreign customers, 50 domestic customers and 50 international press will meet, exchange cooperation opportunities and learn about Vietnam’s tourism.
In addition, business delegations from Russia, the Republic of Korea and the Middle East will meet with Vietnamese businesses at specialized seminars to discuss drawing tourists from these markets to Ho Chi Minh city and other destinations.
So far, 45 travel agencies nationwide have registered to introduce their products in 315 booths, focusing on destinations and tourism products in Vietnam and Asia-Pacific.
As planned, there will be more than 6,000 trade appointments between buyers and sellers.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh city Department of Tourism, said the organizers invited 20 Korean businesses to share experiences and attract tourists because this is the biggest market of Vietnam. For the Russian market, the southern hub is carrying out trading activities and Russian companies want to send more tourists to the market.
During the expo, tourism connection and tourism startup forums, a seminar on smart tourism development, conferences to promote tourism cooperation between Vietnam with Russia and the Middle East will all be held, aiming to foster sustainable tourism in the Mekong River Basin.
The annual event was organised by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, Ho Chi Minh city Department of Tourism, Vietnam Trade Fair & Advertising Joint Stock, and Informa Markets./.
