Japan now is the third biggest market sending tourists to Vietnam. In 2018, Vietnam greeted 826,000 Japanese tourists, a year-on-year rise of 3.6%.
From January to August 2019, Japanese travelers to Vietnam numbered 620,000, a year-on-year rise of 13.7%. This is high growth compared to the average rate of 8.1% of this market in the 2010-2018 period.
On this occasion, the VNAT delegation also joined the Vietnam Fest in Yokohama city in the Japanese prefecture of Kanagawa.
This significant event is introducing Vietnam’s unique culture and traditional cuisines to Japanese and international friends. It acts as a bridge to connect people of the two countries and contributes to enhancing mutual understanding and further tightening the friendship between Vietnam and Japan./.
