The third Ban Gioc Waterfall Festival, co-organized by the Cao Bang provincial People’s Committee and Trung Khanh district, will take place on October 5th-6th.

The event aims to promote the image of the land and people of Cao Bang Province, particularly Ban Gioc Waterfall – a national landscape, to both domestic and foreign visitors.
The festival includes abundant activities: a light festival on October 5th, booths introducing produces, specialties, cuisine culture of communes and town in Trung Khanh, and exhibitions themed “Discovering Trung Khanh District” and “Cao Bang – 50-year implementation of President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament”.
In addition, there will be folk games such as tug of war, sack race, stick pushing, catching ducks blindfolded and peeling chestnuts.
Ban Gioc is the largest natural waterfall in Southeast Asia and also the world's fourth largest cross-border waterfall. It is a prominent place attracting tourists to Trung Khanh in particular and Cao Bang in general.
By July 2019, Cao Bang greeted more than 736,000 tourists, a year-on-year rise of 31.3%. Of this, foreign tourists numbered over 87,800; a year-on-year increase of 86.4%. Total tourism turnover reached an estimated VND198 billion./.
