In his speech at the event, Mr. Tran Hong Quan, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, stressed that tourism is considered one of the leading economic sectors with high-speed development, bringing great socio-economic benefits.
Facing the trend of globalization, regionalization and international integration, aiming to develop tourism, localities should acquire and share experiences, and enhance cooperative relations among state management agencies and tourism businesses.
At the seminar, many domestic and foreign travel experts shared their experiences and pointed out some limitations of Ca Mau tourism, thereby proposing solutions to help the locality boost connection, build tours and routes and associate with other provinces in the Mekong Delta and localities on the coastal corridor to the south of Thailand and Cambodia to develop tourism products in the near future.
Under the witness of the authorities and functional agencies, Ca Mau travel business and some Vietnamese travel companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding to open cross-border tours with tour operators under the Tourism Associations of Thailand and Cambodia.
On this occasion, the Ca Mau Business Support and Investment Promotion Centre signed a cooperative deal on connecting, sharing information, organizing and participating in tourism events with the Tourism Associations of the two countries./.
