Director of Hoa Lo Relics Site Management Board Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy said that the relics site had to stop accepting guests since the afternoon of March 9th because authorities notified them that two British guests who visited the site in the past week are being monitored and quarantined because of Covid-19.

Ms. Thuy also said, based on security camera footage, that the ticket staff was not directly in close contact with the visitors. However, the site will still suspend activities to disinfect the entire area.

In addition, to ensure the safety of visitors, from March 10th, the Temple of Literature and Ngoc Son Temple will also suspend operation to disinfect and sanitize the entire relic space.

According to the head of Management Board of Hanoi Monuments Nguyen Doan Van, many other historical relics and beautiful landscapes will also temporally close to conduct disinfection such as  relic sites at No.48 Hang Ngang, No.5D Ham Long, No.90 Tho Nhuom, and Uncle Ho Memorial House in Van Phuc, Ha Dong district.

"We expect to temporarily stop welcoming guests for several days to ensure the best conditions, safe and secure for travelers", he said./.
