About 8.6 million tourists visit Hanoi in first half of 2022

In which, international tourist arrivals are estimated at 211,300 and domestic tourists are estimated at 8.4 million. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 25.2 trillion VND, a more than three-fold increase year on year.

The average room occupancy in 1-5 star hotels is estimated at more than 30%, up 6.11% year on year. In June 2022 alone, the occupancy rate is estimated at 42.9%, down 2.3% compared to May but up 17.2% compared to the same period last year.

The city has also recognized three destinations: Special national relic Hai Ba Trung Temple; World Cultural Heritage in the center of the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long - Hanoi; and Hoang Long eco-tourism site. In total, there are 24 recognized tourist zones and attractions in the capital.

In the context of reopening tourism, the city tourism industry has developed many tourism products to attract visitors, such as: Night tour at Hoa Lo Prison relic, night tour at Thang Long Imperial Citadel; the northern highland market program of the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism; chain of activities at Bao Son Paradise Park; double-decker bus “Hanoi City Tour”; and walking tour “French architecture in the heart of Hanoi”.

In addition, Hanoi also organizes many events and programs to promote tourism, attracting a large number of tourists, such as: the program “Ha Noi Tourism welcomes 2022”, Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2022, Vietnam International Travel Mart – VITM Hanoi 2022, friendship journey in 2022, the opening of Son Tay - Doai Tourism Year and the opening of Son Tay Ancient Citadel walking street./.
