Binh Thuan permitted to host National Tourism Year 2023

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism agreed to allow the south central province of Binh Thuan to host the National Tourism Year 2023 in a working session with provincial leaders in Hanoi on April 26.

The ministry asked the province to coordinate to continue to promote strengths, overcome difficulties, and attract investment to have a synchronous tourism infrastructure, and especially to identify the strengths and the brand of Binh Thuan tourism.

Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Le Tuan Phong said that Binh Thuan has brought into full play its advantages to develop attractive tourism products and strived to build the Binh Thuan tourism brand associated with international events with its own characteristics. In recent years, Binh Thuan has successfully organized international events and is forming a national marine sport tourism center.

From February 2022, Binh Thuan proposed the ministry allow it to organize the National Tourism Year, clearly demonstrating its determination to turn tourism into a spearhead economic sector, one of the three pillars of the province’s economy.

After the Prime Minister approved the Master Plan for development of Mui Ne National Tourist Area to 2025, with a vision to 2030, Mui Ne and surrounding areas were selected to become priority area for tourism development of Vietnam, creating a strong bounce, attracting investment, and helping Binh Thuan become an attractive tourist destination which can compete with Pattaya and Phuket of Thailand.

Currently, Binh Thuan tourism has basically affirmed its brand and established many destinations with its own attractiveness of the land with many unique landscapes.

The province now has 600 accommodation establishments with nearly 18,000 rooms; 400 dining, shopping  and entertainment facilities, and many large-scale tourism projects operating such as: Sea Links Beach Hotel, Anantara Mui Ne beach resort, Princess D'An Nam resort, Novaworld Phan Thiet, Centara Mirage resort, and Apec Mandala Wyndham Mui Ne./.
