Cuc Phuong National Park recognized as Asia’s leading national park in 2022

The World Travel Awards 2022 has just honored Cuc Phuong National Park as “Asia's leading national park”, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development’s General Department of Forestry.

This is the 4th time in a row since 2019 that Cuc Phuong has received this title.

Cuc Phuong National Park was established in 1962, belongs to 3 provinces: Thanh Hoa, Hoa Binh and Ninh Binh, known as the most beautiful primeval and special-use forest, with an area of 22,048 ha, half of the area being limestone mountain. This is also one of the national parks with extremely diverse flora and fauna ecosystems.

In addition, the Cuc Phuong National Park is also famous for ecology, environment and biodiversity of vegetation with 2,234 species of higher plants and mosses; 122 reptiles and amphibians; 66 different fish species; nearly 2,000 species of insects; 135 species of mammals (the black-and-white langur is chosen as the symbol of the park).

The majestic natural landscape at Cuc Phuong features many beautiful caves such as: Son Cung Cave and Pho Ma Giang Cave. Some caves still preserve the ancient vestiges of prehistoric people, who lived 7,500 - 12,000 years ago, such as Dang Cave, Con Moong Cave which are all located in semi-covered karst terrain./.
