During the 2022 New Year’s holiday, Da Lat is expected to welcome 60,000 visitors, said Mr. Le Anh Kiet, head of the city Culture and Information Office.

The number of visitors will increase dramatically on December 31, 2021 and January 1-2, 2022. Numerous groups of tourists will stay throughout Christmas to New Year, or from New Year to January 9, 2022.

A survey of the tourism industry shows that on this occasion, occupancy of motels and houses will reach about 60%; occupancy of 2-star hotels and villas will reach 85-90%; and occupancy of hotels from 3 to 5 stars will be over 90%.

Earlier, on Christmas 2021, the city welcomed about 30,000 tourists for overnight stays. This is a record high number since tourism was “frozen” due to the COVID-19 epidemic after the April 30 and May 1 holidays.

In the coming time, the number of tourists coming to Da Lat is forecast to continue rising. The city has directed the People’s Committees of wards and communes; and authorities not to be subjective and neglectful in disease prevention and control./.
