The number of domestic tourists to Hanoi is estimated at 4 million in 2021, which is 53% of domestic tourists last year and 36% of the year’s plan, according to the city Department of Tourism.

Total revenue from domestic tourists reaches an estimated 11.28 trillion VND, reaching 40% of the total in 2020 and 23% of the year’s plan.
Hanoi now has 3,722 tourist accommodation establishments with 69,954 rooms. In which, 20 hotels were approved by the City People’s Committee as medical facilities to serve the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic for immigrants. In 2021, the average occupancy rate of 1-5 star hotels is estimated at 23%, down 7% compared to 2020.
From mid-October, museums and parks re-opened to welcome visitors, but the number of visitors is still quite small, focusing mainly on weekends.
The City Department of Tourism has restructured tourism products to attract tourists, such as: Night tour at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel relic site, folk experience tourism product at the Museum of Ethnology, and night tour product at the Hoa Lo Prison relic./.
