Ho Chi Minh City’s tourism introduction videos have just been broadcast on the international television channel CNN with 2 topics “Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City” and “Ho Chi Minh City - Vibrant City”, according to the city Department of Tourism.

The videos focus on introducing the city’s tourism with diverse perspectives, colorful events and festivals, unique cuisine, and new tourism products in order to inspire tourists to “pack their bags and go” to see and experience the vitality of a young, lively, friendly, excited urban center which always looks forward to the future.
This is an activity within the framework of the program “Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City” in 2022.
The videos are broadcast at the golden hour frames from 6 am to 10 am, from 10 am to 5 pm and from 7 pm to 12 pm throughout from December 12 to 29, 2022 in Asia-Pacific and North American regions.
The southern city expects that the move through CNN will continue to spread the promotion to key and potential markets in the world to attract more and more foreign tourists to Ho Chi Minh City.
According the online travel platform Booking.com, the search volume for rooms with booking dates from December 23, 2022 to January 1, 2023 and compared with booking data of the same period last year, Ho Chi Minh City had a spectacular growth (+2,985 places) to be in the Top 15 most searched destinations by global tourists.
Specifically, the city ranks 12th behind major cities such as London, Paris, Dubai, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Rome, New York, and Tokyo, and is one of the two Asian cities making this list, next to European cities./.
