HCM City: Room occupancy of 4 to 5-star hotel reaches 70%

Many 5-star hotels in Ho Chi Minh City like Sheraton Saigon and Park Hyatt Saigon said that their room occupancy has reached 80-90%, with some places gaining the same growth rate as before the COVID-19 epidemic.

A representative of Park Hyatt Saigon informed that the business situation began to flourish after March 2022, as Vietnam officially opened to international tourists. Currently, the room occupancy of the hotel reaches 80-85%.
Similarly, Sheraton Saigon hotel also had growth rate of 85-90%. The majority of tourists come to Ho Chi Minh City and stay at 5-star hotels to attend seminars and conferences.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism estimated that the average room occupancy of 4-5 star hotel in the southern hub was about 70%.
Total tourism revenue since the beginning of the year is estimated at 49.681 trillion VND, up nearly 30% over the same period and fulfilling 73.5% of this year’s plan./.
