The tour program is designed to introduce cultural, historical and architectural values in Hoan Kiem district, the core area of ancient Thang Long, with the emphasis being the old quarter and cultural and architectural sites. The tours are conducted by tram.
The first tourist route has a length of 7km, passing through 28 commercial streets, craft streets, and food streets. In which, there are stops at Dong Xuan market, O Quan Chuong, Bach Ma temple, King Le Thai To monument, and Ba Kieu temple.
This tour also goes through the old streets such as Ma May, Hang Bac, Bat Dan, and Hang Bo, so that tourists can explore the beauty of the old town.
The second route is a mixture of introducing the old streets with the French streets, such as: Hang Dao, Hang Ngang, Hang Duong, Ngo Gach, Lo Ren and Ly Thuong Kiet, Le Thanh Tong, and Trang Tien.
The third route focuses on introducing the streets with French architecture such as: Dinh Tien Hoang, Le Thai To, Trang Tien, Tong Dan, Ly Thai To, and Le Thanh Tong.
The second and third routes has a total length of 7km.
Deputy Chairman of the Hoan Kiem district People’s Committee Nguyen Anh Quan affirmed: “the 31st SEA Games is an opportunity to promote tourism and affirm Hanoi tourism brand. A series of events to welcome the significant event has been coordinated by Hoan Kiem district with the organizers. In particular, the green tour is a specialty to introduce visitors to the unique cultural values of Hoan Kiem as well as Hanoi.”
Tour price for retail customers is 35,000 VND per route. Responding to the significant sport event, tourists will enjoy 20% discount on ticket prices until the end of May./.
