International air transport shows signs of improvement

(CPV) – In April 2022, airlines operated 30,000 departure and arrival flights, down 2.4% over the same period last year, including 12,000 transit flights, up 25%.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, in April, airports welcomed 6.6 million passengers, down 14.3%; including 232,000  international passengers, up 502% over the same period last year.

For freight transport, this month, the volume of cargo through Vietnam’s airports reached 140,700 tons, up 18.4%; in which the volume of international cargo reached 117,700 tons.

This month, passenger and cargo transport through Vietnam’s airports still decreased compared to the same period last year. However, international air transport showed signs of prosperity and strong growth.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam reported that in April 2022, it has strengthened measures and work to ensure aviation security and safety in order to bring customers safe and convenient flight experiences./.
