The Sustainable Tourism badge program is launched in 2021 to provide travelers with reliable information so they can make the right choices for eco-friendly trips.

According to Booking.com's Sustainable Tourism Report 2022, published in April 2022 after the pandemic, sustainable tourism has become the top trend of travelers worldwide in general and in Vietnam in particular.

Specifically, 96% of Vietnamese tourists participating in the survey want sustainable tourism, while 93% said they were more inclined to choose a more sustainable accommodation regardless of whether they were looking for it or not.

Grasping the post-pandemic trend, accommodation establishments in Vietnam have been constantly renovating to meet the criteria of an eco-friendly accommodation. Booking.com statistics show that, in the Asia-Pacific region, Vietnam is among the top 10 countries in terms of the number of accommodations receiving the Sustainable Tourism badge./.
