Singapore is an important visitor market with the potential to significantly contribute to the flow of tourism to Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular.
A tourism seminar about Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City was held in Singapore on October 19.

Organized by HCM City’s Department of Tourism (DoT) and the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore, the event was attended by some 200 representatives from DoT, Vietnam Airlines, the Vietnamese embassy in Singapore, and leading travel companies from the two countries.
Speaking at the event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Director of the City Department of Tourism, said that this is the first overseas tourism promotion event the southern city hosted after a hiatus of more than two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic..
Meanwhile, Mr. Le Cong Dung, Chargé d'affaires of the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore, said the event showed the city’s determination and desire in promoting business and people-to-people relations with the “lion island nation”. This will be a good opportunity for tourism businesses of the two countries to connect and work together to find new opportunities.
At the event, representatives of Vietnam Airlines and leading travel companies in Vietnam such as Vietravel, SaigonTourist and Saco Travel introduced and promoted new products to Singapore and international travel agencies.
Mr. Vikrant Kumar Hankare, Managing Director of Rajas Travels (India), said that Vietnam is an ideal destination and he joined the workshop with the desire to seek more information and partners.
The seminar is part of a programme aiming to promote Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City in Singapore, organized by the DoT from October 17-22.
Within the framework of the event, activities included performances of ethnic musical instruments, painting of conical hats and other promotional activities held at ITB Asia Fair 2022./.
