In November and the first 11 months of 2022, the total number of tourists to Hanoi is expected to rise by 5 times over the same period last year, according to the City Department of Tourism.
Specifically, in November 2022, international and domestic tourists are forecast to continue to grow compared to the same period last year. The number of tourists to Hanoi is estimated at 1.61 million, an increase of more than 5 times year on year.
In which, domestic tourists number 1.35 million, while international tourists are estimated at 255,320. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 4.39 trillion VND, more than 5 times higher than the same period last year.
In the Jan-Nov period, the capital expects to greet 17.02 million tourists, a 5-fold increase year on year. This figure includes 1.27 million foreign tourists and 15.75 million domestic tourists. Total tourism turnover reached 48.35 trillion VND, surging by more than 5 times year on year.

Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism Dang Huong Giang said that the capital tourism industry will focus on organizing Hanoi Ao Dai Festival 2022; deploying a number of pilot models for agricultural and rural tourism development in association with the construction of new-style rural areas in Hanoi in the 2022-2025 period; and organizing a seminar to connect tourist zones, attractions and travel businesses in Hanoi in 2022.
In addition, Hanoi will promote the implementation of new types of tourism, such as: MICE (tourism combining seminars, conferences, and events), adventure sports tourism, experience tourism, Red River tours, helicopter or hot air balloon tourism, and virtual reality application tourism, Ms. Dang Huong Giang said./.
