VNAT, Discovery cooperate to promote Vietnam’s tourism

Deputy Head of the Vietnam National Admistration of Tourism (VNAT) Ha Van Sieu has met with Advertising Partnership Manager, Discovery Asia-Pacific Andrew White to discuss advertising cooperation for promotion of Vietnam’s tourism to the world.

At the meeting, Mr. Andrew White said Discovery Inc. is a mass media company headquartered in the United States. Discovery covers over 220 countries and territories with many well-known channels such as Discovery Channel, Food Network, Travel Channel, Animal Planet, Science Channel, and Discovery Kids. He expressed his desire to cooperate with VNAT in promoting Vietnam tourism.

Deputy Head Ha Van Sieu said that in recent years, Vietnam's tourism has grown very rapidly. In 2019, the country greeted 18 million international tourists and it targets of welcoming 30 million international tourists by 2030.

In addition to the growth goal in the number of visitors, Vietnam’s tourism is aming at growth in quality with the improvement of tourism quality as well as the positioning of Vietnam’s tourism brand.

The industry aims to build and promote Vietnamese brand with different, unique, quality and competitive tourism products and values. Positioning Vietnam as an attractive tourist destination based on key brand values and typical tourism products such as heritage tourism, marine tourism, ecotourism, and golf tourism.

He suggested that after the meeting, the two sides would continue to discuss in detail about the direction of cooperation in implementing marketing strategies and telling the story of Vietnam to the world./.
