At the launch ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman of the Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee, Tong Thanh Hai, emphasized that this is a meaningful event aimed at spreading the noble values of Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style among the province’s officials, Party members and people from all ethnic groups. He urged the Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee Commission on Popularization and Education to fulfill its role in advising, directing and guiding Party committees and organizations to promote the competition effectively.
He called on departments, sectors and localities to actively publicize and implement the competition through various formats, viewing it as an essential political task and practical effort to express each individual's respect and responsibility toward President Ho Chi Minh and their homeland of Lai Chau.
Le Duc Duc, Head of Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee Commission on Popularization and Education, shared that the competition serves as a political activity across the entire Provincial Party Committee, resonating deeply with officials, Party members and citizens. It aims to foster a strong sense of ethical cultivation, to advance the patriotic movement, and to counteract negative trends in political ideology, morality and lifestyle. The initiative contributes to the success of the 13th National Party Congress Resolution and the 14th Lai Chau Provincial Party Congress Resolution, working toward Lai Chau's rapid and sustainable development.
The quiz is open to officials, Party members, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, students and citizens residing, working or studying in Lai Chau, as well as Lai Chau residents living or working elsewhere. Participants will engage in the online quiz format via the Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee’s portal (laichau.dcs.vn) or other media outlets with a link to the competition. The weekly rounds will start from 9 a.m. on October 28 and conclude at 10 p.m. on November 17, 2024.
Each week features a quiz with a unique set of questions focusing on content from Conclusion 01-KL/TW, dated May 18, 2021, by the Politburo on continuing the implementation of Directive 05-CT/TW "On promoting learning and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style." The questions also include Ho Chi Minh's letter to Lai Chau’s people and officials, the achievements of the Lai Chau Party Committee, government and people in following his advice, and the themes from the Party's 13th National Congress term on self-reliance, national development aspirations, and specific Ho Chi Minh studies for the years 2022, 2023 and 2024.
At the conclusion of the competition, the organizers will present 10 individual prizes and six group prizes, with a total prize pool of nearly VND30 million./.
