Da Lat expected to welcome 180,000 visitors for upcoming holiday

Da Lat city in the Central Highlands of Lam Dong is expected to greet about 180,000 visitors during the holiday of April 30 and May 1, including about 140,000 staying overnight, a year-on-year increase of 135%, said Mr. Le Anh Kiet, Head of the Da Lat Culture and Information Department.

During peak days (from April 30 to May 2), many visitors are expected to flock to Da Lat, potentially overloading many services in Da Lat.
According to the survey, many hotels and accommodation establishments in Da Lat have announced that they are fully booked during the peak days.
On this occasion, hotel room prices increased by 30-50% compared to weekdays, ranging from 500,000-800.000 VND a night for 2 people, 900,000-1,200,000 VND a night for 4 people.
According to the Da Lat Culture and Information Department, the city currently has more than 2,230 accommodation establishments with over 29,000 bedrooms, 46,600 beds, which can accomodate about 50,000 visitors at the same time.
Authorities emphasized that tourists should book rooms through reputable channels to avoid being scammed and taken advantage of by crooks.
