Rose Festival attracts over 30,000 visitors to Sa Pa

Mr. Vuong Trinh Quoc, Chairman of the Sa Pa People’s Committee, said the number of visitors to Sa Pa after opening for tourism and adapting to new safe conditions has reached 70% compared to before the COVID-19 pandemic.

In order to quickly and sustainably recover the local tourism industry, right in the summer of this year, the Sa Pa Town People’s Committee signed a public-private partnership agreement with the Sa Pa Fansipan Cable Car Travel Service Co., Ltd. to realize some main contents.

Accordingly, the town will coordinate relevant units to organize a series of 5-season tourism events, associated with the brand of the Sa Pa National Tourist Area; well prepare conditions to organize programs and events to celebrate the 120th Anniversary of Sapa Tourism in 2023; invest in building and completing a unique, large-scale tourism product with natural and cultural characteristics of the Northwest region; and welcome Famtrip-Presstrip delegations to visit, promote destinations and connect tourism products and services of Sa Pa with other localities nationwide.

“We hope that the event will kick off the summer tourist season with good signals, contributing to welcoming 4 million domestic and foreign tourists in 2022 according to the set plan,” said Mr. Vuong Trinh Quoc./.
