The Thai Nguyen Tourism Season 2022, themed “Discovering the legendary land”, officially opened in Song Cong city on April 24.

At the opening ceremony, Standing Deputy Chairman of the Thai Nguyen People’s Committee Dang Xuan Truong said that Thai Nguyen has built many tourism products such as travelling to the source, learning about historical sites, resistance wars, archaeological sites; spiritual tourism; and eco-tourism, resort in many charming, green and mountainous lands such as Nui Coc lake, Phuong Hoang cave - Mo Ga stream, and Dung Tan Trade and Tourism Center.
With potentials, advantages, and tourism products in recent years, Thai Nguyen has identified tourism as an important economic sector, striving to welcome 3.2 million visitors by 2025 and earn a total revenue from tourism of 3 trillion VND a year.
At the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong highly appreciated the initiative of Thai Nguyen when it quickly implemented a series of tourism activities.
He suggested that in the coming time, Thai Nguyen should take advantage of opportunities and focus on developing tourism in the direction of professionalism, modernity, civilization, quality, efficiency; developing tourism closely linked with conservation and promotion of heritage values and national cultural identity; building a “green” tourism environment in accordance with the theme of the National Tourism Year 2022.
On this occasion, the Thai Nguyen Tourism Association signed a document on tourism development and cooperation with travel agencies and enterprises of Hanoi and tourism associations in the region./.
