Many incentives are offered to businesses joining DanangFantastiCity 2022, promising to welcome domestic and international tourists back to the central coastal city of Da Nang after Vietnam opens to international visitors.
On March 17, Da Nang Department of Tourism coordinated with units to open the Danang FantastiCity 2022 Online Travel Mart. This is the first online travel fair in Vietnam arranging business matching with a total of more than 500 appointments.
At the meetings, domestic exhibitors provided information on Vietnam’s policy of completely opening up tourism, introducing new tourism product packages, and exchanging information to promote transactions between the parties.

More than 200 booths of companies working in the travel industry and over 60 partners from Japan, the Republic of Korea, China, India and Southeast Asian countries took part in the event.
According to Nguyen Xuan Binh, Deputy Director of the city’s Department of Tourism, the COVID-19 pandemic has changed tourists’ behaviour, switching from face-to-face to online.
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the tourism industry is a challenge, but also an opportunity for tourism management agencies and business units to equip themselves with more skills and experience to enter a new era, he said.
Visitors will have chances to take part in the “Fantastic Hour” promotion programme and virtual tours combining destination video and VR360 virtual reality application.
