The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Pacific said they would provide nearly 1 million seats (equivalent to 4,700 flights) on domestic and international routes from April 26th to May 5th.
Vietnam Airlines to provide more services during national holiday
With the load increase, Vietnam Airlines’ total number of seats during the period will reach nearly 800,000; an increase of 78,000 seats compared to the same period last year. Of this, domestic routes will have an additional 53,000 seats with the majority flying on busy routes between Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city and Da Nang, Phu Quoc, Nha Trang.
Meanwhile, international routes of the national flag carrier will add more than 25,000 seats over a year earlier with the focus on routes between Vietnam and Japan, the Republic of Korea, Thailand and Cambodia. Jetstar Pacific will provide nearly 200,000 seats on domestic and international routes.
In preparation for the peak holiday season, the two carriers arranged personnel and resources to ensure safety and provide the best services for passengers.
They also recommended that passengers take the initiative to plan their travel early, and increase the use of online check-in services or self-check in kiosks to save waiting time at airports./.
