Travel agencies and localities are making plans to stimulate domestic tourism and give priority to small-group tours to destinations near their homes.

Representatives of Vietnam Airlines and the People’s Committee of the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa on March 10 signed an agreement on tourism development cooperation in the 2021-2025 period.

Vietnam Airlines announced on February 26 that it will resume flights between Ho Chi Minh City and the northern province of Quang Ninh’s Van Don Airport, which had been hit by COVID-19, on March 3 as the province has brought the pandemic under control and the airport is now safe to cater to passengers.

The Da Nang Tourism Department said that it will pilot policies to support MICE tourist groups coming to the city in 2021.

Although tourism activities are quiet during the 2021 Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday, the “hotline” is still working to support local people and tourists about destinations and measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic, according to the Hanoi Department of Tourism.
