Railway sector reduces ticket prices by 50%

Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company said that a promotion program to reduce ticket prices by 50% is being offered for passengers traveling on trains from February 21 to March 31, 2022.

Accordingly, the price cut is applied on 9,000 tickets on trains such as: SE5/SE6 Thong Nhat train, SE11/SE12 train between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, tickets with transportation distances from 500km or more; pairs of train LP3/LP8, LP5/LP6, LP7/HP2 between Hanoi and Hai Phong, the ticket with departure station being Hanoi or Long Bien and arrival station being Hai Phong station, and vice versa.

After the discount, ticket prices for Hanoi - Hai Phong route are only from 35,000 VND a ticket; Hanoi - Vinh route from only 79,000 VND a ticket; and Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City route from 450,000 VND a ticket.

In addition, the Hanoi Railway Transport Joint Stock Company has just decided to suspend operation of double-train on the Hanoi - Vinh section due to a decrease in passenger demand after the Lunar New Year.

Specifically, NA2 train departing from Vinh temporarily stopped from February 21; NA1 train departing from Hanoi stopped running from February 22, 2022.

Currently, on the North-South railway, there are 4 pairs of Thong Nhat trains stopping to pick up and see off passengers in Vinh, namely SE3/4, SE5/6, SE7/8 and SE11/12./.
