An event was held by the General Association of Vietnamese in Belgium (UGVB) in Brussels on September 15 to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival.

In response to the appeal of General Secretary and President To Lam, Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore has launched a fundraising campaign within the diplomatic mission representative agencies of Vietnam and the Vietnamese community in Singapore.

A delegation of the Vietnamese community in Laos, led by Chargé d'Affaires of the Vietnamese Embassy Phan Minh Chien, went to the Lao Prime Minister’s Office on September 16 to hand over financial aid of 300 million LAK to Lao Minister of Labour and Social Welfare to support those affected by Typhoon Yagi in Laos’ northern region.

In the short period since the major fire broke out on August 13 in the city of Nyíregyháza, which completely burned down the entire warehouse of seven Vietnamese families, the Vietnamese community has donated more than 6 million Ft (nearly 420 million VND) to support the families affected by the fire.

A donation campaign was launched by Phat Tich Pagoda in Vientiane, Laos on September 10 to support people in Northern provinces of Vietnam and Laos that were hard damaged by typhoon Yagi.

“Vietnam Corner” in Odessa, Ukraine has been inaugurated, after the Vietnamese Embassy in the country and the overseas Vietnamese community in Odessa contributed to its construction.

A competition named “Vietnam in my heart” held by the Budapest Vietnamese Language Centre in order to promote the Vietnamese language was launched in Hungary on September 8.
